The Spirit in Our Roots, also referred to as spirit, is a multi-media documentation project and land-based initiative rooted in rural Mississippi. This work narrates the story of black agrarian legacies and the multigenerational land stewards, medicine keepers, and healers who are creating sanctuaries, nourishment, and care for our collective future.
